What to bring on a day hike/snowshoe?

Water and snacks,

Appropriate clothing, based on the weather forecast,

Closed toe shoes are required, hiking boots/shoes or running shoes are preferred. 

 

Can I bring my dog on our hiking/snowshoeing/back country tour?

Yes, as long as your dog is well behaved and you clean up after them.

Do I have to have my own snow shoes?

No, we provide your snow shoes and crampons, as needed.

Will my group be paired up with another group?

Our hikes and back county trips are private, you will NOT be paired up with other hikers. We seek to create a customized experience for each of our guests.  Although times are provided for our private hikes, please reach out if you would prefer a different time or varied distance/time.  We can usually accommodate with enough notice.

What is your cancellation policy?

To receive a refund, hikers must cancel a minimum of 24 hours before their scheduled day hike/snowshoe and 14 days before a scheduled back country trip. No refund will be given after these times.  Should inclement weather make it necessary for Step it Up Adventures to cancel a day trip or back country tour, to ensure the safety of our guests, a full refund will be provided.  You will be contacted as soon as possible should this occur.

Do I have to bring a signed copy of my waiver to the tour?

No, your guide will have a hard copy for you to sign upon your arrival.  The waiver is sent out in advance, only to review.  Click here to see the waiver.

Can I change the time, location or length of my tour?

Yes, our tours are private, so very often we can alter the timings upon request.  Further, we offer custom tours, simply reach and we can discuss the how we can customize your tour including:  time, location, length and additional activities.
